619,636 Canadians enlisted and approximately 424,000 served overseas. Close to 61,000 Canadians were killed another 172,000 were wounded. Many more returned home broken in mind and body.

The Armistice was/is marked by the suspension of all ordinary activities and the observance of two minutes of silence at precisely 11 a.m. on November 11. Lest we forget.
