Maclean Hunter Publishing Company, already publishing MacLean’s Magazine and The Financial Post, find a new demographic, women! They create Chatelaine magazine just for her. The first issue of Chatelaine magazine was published in March 1928.
1968
Chatelaine’s publishers discover a sub category – the groovy young female – and create a spin off just for her – Miss Chatelaine.
